Director: Craig Stewart
Craig Stewart is a Trustee and President of the Apex/Bruce and Jolene McCaw Family Foundation.
Craig currently serves as a director or advisor to the following: Behind the Badge Foundation, Rainier Scholars, Shawnigan USA Fund, and the Bradley Collection Foundation.
Following military service and a stint with the government, Craig began development work as Vice President of University Relations at Lewis University in Lockport, Illinois. He has served as Chief Development Officer at Regis University in Denver, Colorado and Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Connecticut. He was Director of Development at Lakeside School in Seattle, WA from 1986 to 1996. He continues to advise a number of organizations on governance, strategic planning, and funding issues.
Craig co-authored a book with the late William Golding on trusteeship titled Inside the Nonprofit Boardroom, which is in its second edition.
A graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, followed by his Master's of Arts degree in Ethnic Studies from Governors State University in Illinois. Craig earned a Doctorate of Education from Western Colorado University.
Craig and his wife, Val, reside in Seattle and are the parents of two grown children.
